the weirdest museums you've ever seen!!

yesterday a decided to have a splurge day and went to Pancake house for lunch! I of course got pancakes covered in ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce because I’m a go big or go home kinda person these days. Anyway since i live 900 years away from everyone else this block i decided to go do some exploring of the the area and stumbled upon the two weridest museums I’ve ever seen.

First stop was the tulip museum!! It’s primarily a store with a little museum on the back half of it! It needed up being really cool and i was the only person in it the whole time i was there!! I learned about how tulips originated from Turkey only to eventually be brought to the Netherlands via stolen bulbs from the Sultans garden. I learned about the modern tulip industry and that sadly i wouldn’t be able to see any in the fields while I’m here. Three did have a lot of different varieties of the flowers at the museum to look at though which was pretty cool! I liked the feather ones they best they’re so different from any flower I’ve ever seen!!

Next stop on my tour of random museums on my street was the cheese museum!!! It’s basically a cheese store with a museum tucked away on the ground floor. I popped down to the museum and looked through the history of the Dutch cheese insdustry and sent my family a little post card! Then i hopped back upstairs to to where the real action was: the cheese samples. I probably over stayed my welcome here but i needed to balance out all the chocolate i had eaten early and cheese just happens to be one of my favorite foods.
It was a good day full of pancakes, tulips, cheese and getting to know my little corner of Amsterdam!!
