each block we have an overnight experience to a different city to help give us a wider view of that country’s culture. On our over night excursion here we visited the cities of Rotterdam and Delft. Rotterdam apparently used to look a lot like Amsterdam, but was bombed in WWII and completely rebuilt. The architecture here is opposite of the architecture in Amsterdam. Everything is Rotterdam is extremely modern. The first picture is actually of the hostel we stayed in where all the builds were cubes shaped! It was drastically different from any city I’ve ever been to and ended up being a really cool place to visit!

We started off the day in Rotterdam with a walking tour of the city looking at all the architecture and learning about the history of the town.

We ended the tour for lunch and went to a place that felt like it could have been in Austin. It had such a fun environment and the sandwiches were really good so i was happy !!

after lunch we got a water taxi back to our side of town and got a pretty nice view of the “swan bridge”!!! Plus when we got to shore they’re we’re piles of anchors so i pretended I’m not ancient and took a photo throw in the deeg.

After that we did a lot of walking around the city and saw a lot of fun street art!! Rotterdam ended up being a really fun city and not something i would’ve ever picked to go on my own so I’m very thankful we went!
The next day we went to Delft where they make he famous blue and white pottery and took a tour of the pottery factory which ended up being cooler than it sounds!!! Once again not something i would’ve picked for myself but I’m glad we went!!! We toured the city after that and had some free time and i really loved the town! It was a lot older looking like Amsterdam but had a more laid back feel that i really liked!!
It ended up being a really fun two days in two places i never expected to go!!!
