our lord in the attic

I had been eyeing this museum for awhile and since we have an essay due on Wednesday it seemed like the perfect way to procrastinate! Our lord in the attic is a Catholic Church hidden on in attic is three canal houses. From the outside it looks like any other house on the canal, and that was the idea because it was created so that Catholics could still worship when holding mass in public was not allowed. Walking through the house and hearing the history of those who lived there as well as how & why the church was created was so incredible! I also learned about a Echaristic miracle that occurred in Amsterdam that I’d never heard about before which i thought was spectacular. Look it up it’s pretty cool!!!
Sitting in the church really made me think about how incredibly lucky i am to be able to attend mass everyday if i want to without fear. Having that ability is something i take for granted all to often and it was really good reminder of what’s really important in life. thankful for little messages like this from the man upstairs :)
