Amsterdang !!

I left y'all hanging with the catastrophe that was trying to get back to London in time for the move to Amsterdam but I eventually did make it home!! my flight did end up taking off a whole 6 hours late BUT I made it home in time to finish packing and snag some zzz's !! due to my sleep deprivation the whole first day in Amsterdam is kind of blur, but I know it ended with a pancake boat tour which was really cool!! The next day we did some more orientation activities and learned how to "DIE" (Describe, Interpret and Evaluate other cultures). We ended the day with a walking tour of the city where we all learned a little more about the history of the Netherlands,

specifically a lot more about what happened to the city during WWII.

On Wednesday we took a day trip to Zwolle. In Zwolle were started the day with a walking tour of the city learning about the history of the town, peaking into a few different churches.

After the walking tour we made our way to this little cafe where we ate lunch outside and enjoyed the afternoon sun!! (& ran away from some bees)

after grubbing we headed to the Museum de Fundatie where I figured out modern art isn't really my jam! but it was cool all the same I mean look at the architecture of the building!!

After are Zwolle excursion we hoped on the bus to head back to Amsterdam! For dinner that night we had Mexican food *wipes tears* and it felt like home for a hot second.

Thursday we had our first day of class and it was actually super intresting! This block we are studying public health of the Netherlands which is pretty different from the US so I'm excited to learn more and spend some time comparing the two!

So far Amsterdam has been much slower paced than London and its been kinda nice to spend more time relaxing and not feeling the need to go go go all the time!!

Excited to spend the next month in this beautiful city!!
