solo exploring!!

I really love exploring which is why this is probably one of my favorite days in London. My aunt sent me some money for my birthday so naturally I bought tickets to go on a tour of the White Cliffs of Dover, the Dover castle and Canterbury cathedral. (THANKS AUNT MARIPAT!!) We went to the cliffs first where on a clear day you can see the coast of France!! Sadly it wasn't the clearest day so even seeing the cliffs was hard, but it was still insanely beautiful I'm still in shook I got to see them! After the cliffs we drove to the dover castle which is actually the oldest castle in the UK and is known for being the reason why the city never feel. I spent a lot of time exploring while we were hear and I think I ended up in some rooms a shouldn't have been in, but hey the doors opened so? I loved just sitting and imagining what it was like thousands of years ago and thinking of all the history that happened there. After our time at the castle we moved on to the city of Canterbury which is famous for its cathedral, which after seeing it in person I know why. Its a beautiful building full of white stone and loads of stain glass. Sitting there and listening to the history of the church and all the art they house their was very interesting! It was such a great day of seeing beautiful things and getting to just sit and imagine what it was like in a different time.
