everybody loves a good field trip

saying I am exhusted from the last two days is the understatement of the century !!!! Tuesday morning our bus pulled away from our apartment bright and early (well for me anyway it was 8 okay) !! I jammed to SHAWN's new album as we drove through the English countryside on our way to Stonehenge! When we arrived at Stonehenge it was overcast and considering its always overcast here and hadn't rained on me yet I decided to leave my umbrella on the bus. we rode out the rest of the way to Stonehenge, took some pics, came up with some theories about it and then the drizzling started so we made our way back to where the Stonehenge bus pick up as it started to down pour. needles to say we were all SOAKED.

After lunch at a little pub we continued our drive to Stourhead. Stourhead is a Palladian house with world famous gardens. The Library of the house is the most beautiful room I've ever stood in with walls and walls of books to little reading nooks in the windows it was beautiful!

After our tour of the house we went on to the gardens which were absolutely spectacular. there were so many flowers, a big lake and all these monuments on the hills. it was truly what you image the grounds of castles to be like from story books to look like.

After Stourhead we finished our journey to bath! It was such a cute little city and reminded me a lot of a town we visited while in Italy! we had dinner at a pub that night where I think we overwhelmed the wait staff and tentatively caused them to run out of lots and lots of food. the next day we did a walking tour of the city and then a tour of the famous Roman baths which gave the city its name. We got to taste the bath water at the end of the tour (the purified kind, we didn't drink the green stuff I promise) and its was about as good as you think it could be! We then hoped on a train and came back to London! All in all it was a very very busy couple of days with some awesome experiences !!
